The word “Bi” simply means two or to occur twice. For example, “biweekly” or “biannual” are terms used to describe an event that happens twice per week or once every two weeks, or respectively two times per year or once every two years.

“Bo” has multiple meanings; it can be used as an exclamation similar to the word “boo” or “boh” which expresses surprise at something. However, “BO” is also commonly used as an abbreviation standing for body odour, which is a smell a person can give off. The term body odour is normally used in a negative context – in this case, it is a bad smell.
