Hey, I'm Stephen, the founder of Word Checker. As a Software Engineer by trade, I wanted to put my skills to use to make a website full of useful word tools people could use to get help with their writing or word game troubles.
As a fan of Scrabble, the initial Word Checker concept was a simple dictionary checker for Scrabble players to confirm the validity of words. Since then it has grown to be a much larger collection of tools and resources, which I intend to keep free to use for all.
Favourite Word Game
My favourite word game to play at the moment is Connections. It is a daily game by the New York Times whereby you have to group 16 words into 4 groups that share a common theme.
