How To Play

Word Algebra is a daily word game that mixes math with wordplay. The aim of the game is to create words whose letters can be recombined to match the daily target word. Think of it as creating multiple anagrams from a word.

Every day at midnight, a new target word and letter combination is released. The target word can vary in length, and the answers will always be two or more words. We select a predetermined pattern for the answers to follow (e.g., a 4-letter word + 5-letter word) based off of the target.

For example, if the target word was "pancakes" and the letter pattern was a 3-letter word add a 5-letter word, the obvious answers would be "pan" and "cakes." Additionally, "ask" and "pecan" would be valid answers too. We'll check each of the answers you submit to make sure they're valid.

Try to create as many of these combinations as you can.
